AN HOMAGE TO DIABLO
March 24, 2014

Hard to believe when I brought him home 15 and a half years ago he fit in the palm of my hand!
In January, coming back from a trip, we noticed he had lost a lot of weight and was not eating well. The poor thing had a tumor on his liver and did not have much time left.
He passed mid-March.
This is a tribute to my furry friend.
Diablo last September. He LOVED his box. I got some new boots at the end of summer and minou claimed ownership of the box. For months he spent a good part of his time in it. He fit snug and used the hole to stretch out his paw (the paw hole)

A trip to the vet in early February for some tests informed us he had a tumor on his liver. We were told there was nothing we could do but to treat him like a king and make the most of our time left together.
By March he is getting very picky with food. We start spoon feeding him and give him lots lots of table food which he loves.
This photo was taken mid-March. He is annoyed that I am taking photos of him.
He passes in his sleep quietly at home March 15.
We decide to have him cremated in a private ceremony. We are given time to say goodbye.
Thank you Diablo for all those wonderful years!
